Hey, thanks for visiting my site.
Just some background - I've played in the L.A. area since the late 80s and have played in several bands and projects and always find some really good players and composers wherever I work.
Recently I've done more live things, free-form and cover, and having a blast. For free-form jam situations, we really get off on the sounds and the synergy doing it in a group situation. For cover and tribute situations, tweaking sounds to emulate the original sounds and parts as much as possible is something I like to do. Especially for tribute bands, people respond to the sonic reproductions and it raises the performance as well as the band's rep.
I've done studio and the work is different of course. The goal is to be productive and to come out of it with something the composer is really excited about. Pre- and offline work is important while the studio clock is not ticking.
